Dodgy Alley by lordlucan Dodgy Alley by lordlucan
Opera House Lane, Wellington, New Zealand.

My first crack at HDR. 13 exposures ranging from -2ev to +2ev at 1/3 stop intervals. I used the Mantiuk tone map operator, then used GIMP to correct artifacts, fiddle about with contrast etc.

I tried to reshoot this one so I could get the composition just right without having to crop the bejaysus out of it, but I was not able to recreate the feel that this crop has.

13 exposures is a lot! May I ask you what camera did you use to make this photo?

Nice work.
This has a somewhat warmer feel than in real life though if you know what I mean.

This is incredible. There is no other way to describe the mood and the overall feel of this picture. It's foreboding... haunting, even. I was half expecting to see a spook somewhere. :) Great work!
